Parent Teacher Association (PTA)
The PTA is a group of parents and teachers who work together for the benefit of the children and the school. Every parent or guardian who has a child in the school is invited to become an active member of the organization.
The PTA can be an important link between home and school. The PTA encourages parents to be active in the school and support teachers in the education of students. When this happens the students are better educated and ISW becomes more of a community. During the school year the PTA sponsors, organizes or assists in the following events and activities:
The PTA welcomes the help, encouragement and ideas of all parents and teachers in the school. Executive meetings are held on the first Tuesday of every month and are open to everyone. General meetings are held twice a year. Upcoming events are published weekly in the Weekly Newsletter. PTA volunteer forms are available in the school office. Please contact a PTA officer for further information.
