ISW is a STEaM school. STEaM (Science, Technology, Engineering, arts and Math) education fosters students’ ability to become better problem solvers, thinkers and effective members in diverse teams.
Together known as STEAM, each of these skills has become a leading educational focus in recent years. Educational technology is an integral component of our modern classrooms with laptops, tablets and software, providing new opportunities for exploration and educational skills.
Our STEaM curriculum is one of the many ways we are preparing students with the diverse array of lifelong learning skills they will need as workers in this rapidly advancing and continually evolving 21st century.
The integrated nature of STEaM instruction mirrors the multidisciplinary reality of life beyond school. STEaM also provides opportunities for creative expression and individual engagement with the content our students study through the arts (visual, musical, theatrical, and linguistic).
